Completely free legal advice service
SOS Defense is a collective of volunteer legal advisors.
We work free of charge and on a voluntary basis.
We help you identify your legal problems and understand your rights and obligations. We advise you on the actions to be taken. Call us for an initial discussion and, if necessary, to make an appointment for a consultation.
Our offices are located in Lausanne, where the consultations take place.
How to contact us ?
Call us at 079 407 40 40, and a lawyer or legal expert will answer your call free of charge and analyze your situation in complete confidentiality. Following this phone call, a face-to-face meeting will be arranged if necessary, free of charge and confidential.
The hotline is open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
If we are unable to answer your call, we will identify your number and call you back within 24 hours.

Who can benefit from our services?
Anyone in a precarious, vulnerable, or insecure situation who is facing legal problems in the canton of Vaud.
1. Swiss citizens without resources (net income below 3,000 for one person, 3,800 for two people, 4,500 for three people). Above these thresholds, we assume that you have the financial means to consult a lawyer from the Vaud Bar Association.
2. Foreigners with permits, without resources (net income below CHF 3,000 for one person, CHF 3,800 for two people, CHF 4,500 for three people).
