SOS defense is an association composed of lawyers and lawyers.

We work free of charge and on a voluntary basis. We help you identify your legal problems, understand your rights and obligations. We guide you on the actions to be taken. Call us for a first discussion and if necessary make an appointment for an interview.

Our premises are in Lausanne and this is where the interviews take place.

How to contact us?

Call us at 079 407 40 40, a lawyer will answer you free of charge and analyze your situation in complete confidentiality. Following this phone call, an in-person interview is organized if necessary, free of charge and confidential.

The phone line is open on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.

If we cannot answer, we will identify your number and call you back within 24 hours.

Who can benefit from our services?


Anyone in a precarious, vulnerable, or insecure situation who is facing legal problems in the canton of Vaud.

1. Swiss citizens without resources (net income below 4'000 for one person, 4'500 for two people, 5'000 for three people). Above these thresholds, we assume that you have the financial means to consult a lawyer from the Vaud Bar Association.

2. Foreigners with permits, without resources (net income below CHF 4'000 for one person, CHF 4'500 for two people, CHF 5'000 for three people).
